A Brief Biography of Neymar Da Silva Junior


Neymar is the third most famous player of the soccer game, after Ronaldo and Messi. He is Brazilian born footballer who plays for the national team as well as for different clubs around the world. He was born on 5th –February- 1992.

07th march 2009 was the day when Neymar Junior made his debut as a 17 year old boy, and Santos was his team. After the week of debut, Neymar scored his first goal, and cemented his forward position. 

Early days of Neymar junior

Neymar da Silva Santos Junior was born in Mogi das Cruzes, São Paulo. Neymar considers his father’s role most important in his success, as he mentioned that his father being the former footballer, helped him in the training and coaching of the game. His father also supported him and his family financially in difficult times.

In early teenage years he used to play futsal which, according to him, helped him gain quick reflexes and speed. The combination of futsal with street football, helped him to learn the new, different and effective techniques, which he also uses on the football fields with very much success.

At the age of 15 he was earning 1000 reais per month, at 16 he was earning 125000 reais per month while playing for Santos FC which helped his family to buy a new house next to Vila Belmiro, Santos’ home stadium. And at the age of 17 he signed his first professional contract and was promoted to Santos first team, this was the ending of dark nights in the Brazilian player’s life and start of the bright days.

Height and Weight of Neymar junior

As he plays in world’s most popular football events like La Liga and is a popular public figure of the world, people often seem curious about the height and weight of the athlete. 

So, his body height is 5.7 feet, in inches it is about 68.8 inches, read more for inches to feet conversion, and when we consider centimeters, Neymar’s body height  is about 175 cm. Neymar’s body weight is 68Kgs

Club Career

Santos

 At a very early age Neymar used to play soccer and was spotted by Santos and offered him the contract in 2003. Santos took him to a youth academy where he did his early training.

Neymar kept playing with Santos at junior level and they also gave him exposure internationally when he was sent to Spain to join Real Madrid. At real there were stars like RonaldoDavid Beckhame and Roberto Carlos. He did not make his way to the real world.

But in 2009 at the age of 17 he made his debut with his first club Santos.

Barcelona

After playing in the 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup, Neymar joined the Barcelona for the five years. On 27th of May 2013 he signed the contract with the new club Barcelona, the contract was till June of 2018 but he left the club after scoring 100 goals in 177 appearances, 3rd august 2017 was the day when Barcelona  announced that legal representative of the Neymar made payment of 

€222 million to the club which was equal to the release clause of his contract, which made it the most expensive transfer of football history.

International career

On 26 July 2010, Neymar was selected by the new head coach Mano Menezes in the international team of Brazil against the United States for a friendly match. Within the 30 minutes of the match, he scored his first international goal.
