5 Teams Predicted to Score Big in 2022’s World Cup

At this year’s World Cup, you can expect ultra-hot weather, thousands of fans, and lots of goals.

Altogether, 32 teams are competing at this World Cup – and around half of them are big hitters. You have the likes of England, France, Portugal, and Belgium that will be hungry for success, which is why goals are going to be flying in from all angles. You can determine who will score the biggest by looking at the World Cup top scorer odds

Let’s take a closer look at the top five teams predicted to score big in 2022’s World Cup.

1: England

England has a major point to prove. They lost the semi-final in the 2018 World Cup and threw away the Euro’s final in 2020, which means it’s now or never for Gareth Southgate’s men!

Going to the World Cup with England are some major stars, from Harry Kane to Phil Foden. If these players are on-form, then you can expect England to score tons of goals in the group and knockout stages.

Of course, Harry Kane is predicted to win the Golden Boot, but keep an eye on Phil Foden and Raheem Sterling, as they’re capable of achieving this feat, too.

2: France

France has an insane amount of firepower up the top of the pitch.

Kylian Mbappe, Paul Pogba, Antoine Griezmann, and Karim Benzema will all be looking to hit the back of the net. If they start well, then you can expect France to reach the semi-finals at a minimum.

Plus, keep in mind that Mbappe has just signed a huge contract with PSG, meaning he will have a huge amount of pressure on his shoulders to perform at this World Cup. Knowing Mbappe, he will easily convert this pressure into goals.

3: Portugal

Portugal will be looking to win their first ever World Cup in this tournament. When you add on the fact that this will likely be Ronaldo’s last ever tournament for Portugal, it seems like it’s written in the stars for Portugal to bang in lots of goals and reach the final.

4: Brazil

Brazil is a team that’s loved by everyone. Each World Cup, they bring passion, flair, skills, and pure magic, all thanks to the likes of Neymar. Also, with Vinicius Jr coming off the back of an amazing season with Real Madrid, it’s fair to assume that he will be looking to win the Golden Boot and further enhance his reputation around the world.

5: Germany

Germany has a superb reputation for performing well in World Cups. And with the likes of Chelsea’s Kai Havertz playing for them this year, they will almost certainly turn on the style again. Although Germany isn’t the super team they once were, they will almost certainly make it to the semi-finals. If they receive a favourable draw, they could even win the tournament for the first time since 2014.
