Watch the Official Season 3 Trailer

“Alright, kid, hang on. You ready for an adventure?” The Mandalorian fans have eagerly anticipated something official from the third season of the series, as Disney+ and Lucasfilm had shown nothing up until this point. However, the latest trailer has finally released on Saturday at the Lucasfilm panel during the D23 Expo, and it’s bound to be everything everyone has been waiting for.

The last time we saw Din Djarin in his own series was back in December 2020, as he finally met Ahsoka Tano, and fans witnessed an iconic cameo from a de-aged Luke Skywalker. Audiences would see the return of Mando in The Book of Boba Fett as he becomes the Daimyo of Mos Espa. You can check out the highly anticipated trailer for the third season, found below.

MOVIEWEB VIDEO OF THE DAY

In the trailer, we see Din Djarin as he travels to Mandalore with Grogu. Expect another adventure across the galaxy with Mando and Baby Yoda, as we’ve seen through two seasons of the series thus far. Bo-Katan Kryze is expected to play a significant role this season, and the Armorer may have a part too. The Armorer disgraces Din Djarin following the finale of season 2, where Mando is once again forced to take off his helmet, an infrequent occurrence in the series.

Expect plenty of conflicts this season, as the trailer is full of action-packed scenes. Bo Katan needs the Mandalorian’s dark saber to rule Mandalore; however, she can only get it in a duel with Din Djarin himself. In addition, we will get some scenes with Giancarlo Esposito’s Moff Gideon; however, the last time we saw him, he was being transported to a New Republic prison. During the D23 Expo, Esposito says, “You haven’t seen Moff be vulnerable before… Only you can supply yourself with the patience to find out what comes next.” So whatever is in store for Gideon should be quite exciting based on his cryptic message. Finally, Cad Bane may return from The Book of Boba Fett, although Fett seriously wounded him during the initial season. But, of course, this is Star Wars, and we’ve seen characters survive much worse in this universe.

Check back to Disney+ to watch The Mandalorian season 3, arriving at the streaming service in February 2023.

Pedro Pascal Says The Mandalorian Will Step Into a Leadership Role This Season

Disney+

Although Din Djarin has cared for Grogu for two seasons, Pedro Pascal believes his character is stepping into a leadership position in season 3 more than ever before. During an interview with Total Film (Via Games Radar), Pascal teases his character’s development through the third chapter in the series and how Din Djarin is reluctant to take on the role.

“If he is stepping into a leadership position, he’s reluctant to do so. I don’t think that there’s anything more interesting than a character being forced into discovering what they’re capable of, and who they are. That part has been really, really fun. Also, from my point of view, there’s so many searchable ways to find the tonality of that. I just tried to achieve the subtleties of that kind of character development.”

Djarin is constantly put in difficult situations throughout The Mandalorian, so it’s no surprise that season 3 will up the ante even further. Audiences can tune in for the epic continuation of Djarin’s journey when The Mandalorian arrives on Disney+ early next year, in February 2023.
