A.J. Brown Receives ‘Random’ Drug Test Following 3 Touchdowns

AJ Brown must be up to something.

The Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver scored three touchdown catches during Sunday’s 35-13 blowout of the Pittsburgh Steelers,  a huge win that elevated Philadelphia to 7-0 for just the second time in franchise history. They are currently the only undefeated team in the NFL.  It was a great day for AJ Brown and his certainly his best performance since being traded to the team. The NFL thought it was pretty cool, but it did not stop them from sending him a drug test.

On the day AJ Brown  caught 6 passes for 156 yards and also scored 3 touchdowns. An amazing day in fantasy and reality.  AJ Brown has 39 catches for 659 yards and five touchdowns through seven games, which just so happens to be the most receiving yards for any Eagles player since Terrell Owens in 2005. Brown is also the first player with 100 receiving yards and three receiving touchdowns in the first half of a game since Tampa Bay’s Mike Evans in Week 3 of 2019, according to ESPN Stats & Information research.

At this point, the entire city of Philadelphia might need to get tested as the Philadelphia Phillies are in the World Series, and Philadelphia Union players, who earned a spot in the MLS Cup on Sunday. What Brown is doing right now is special. And his teammates are taking notice.

“That’s A.J. Brown. It’s always fun to watch him,” Fletcher Cox said. “To go out and do what he did today, that’s the reason he’s here. That’s the reason Howie (Roseman) brought him here.”

Things in Philly are looking pretty good.
