Dr. Barbara Sturm & Katie Holmes Welcome Chicsters To Casa Cruz New York

The unstoppable Dr. Barbara Sturm is coming for New York City. Fashion’s favorite skincare guru hosted a dinner last night at Casa Cruz New York to celebrate the opening of her new Madison Avenue and Soho spas and boutiques. The openings, which follow spas in Düsseldorf, Los Angeles, London, Miami, Dallas, and St. Tropez, make NYC the first city in the world to house two Dr. Sturm locations. Ready to book? The Madison Avenue location recently opened its doors and the Mercer Street location will open at the end of November.

The dinner welcomed Sienna Miller, Justin Theroux, Michael Kors, Alina Cho, Sai de Silva, Tina Leung, Deon Hinton, Samanatha Angelilli, Lindsey Wixson, Brooke Wall, Amy Astely, Richie Shazam, Charlotte McKinney, Cassandra Grey, Zach Weiss, Nicky Rothschild Hilton, Samantha Ronson, Noor Pahlavi, Pilar Guzman, Lindsay Peoples, Sally Holmes, Malcolm Carfrae, and more to the buzzy Casa Cruz New York, which is located in an Upper East Side beaux-arts townhouse and is perhaps Manhattan’s toughest table to book these days.

The evening kicked off with cocktails before guests were led to the dining area, where co-host Katie Holmes and Sturm’s daughter Charly Sturm welcomed the crowd. Holmes introduced Sturm, who said a few words about her favorite topic— beautiful skin.  “I love my skin and I look at the mirror at night and do my skincare routine and think ‘God, It’s awesome!’ This is how we should feel,” Sturm said. “It doesn’t matter if you have a wrinkle or you age. It’s the feeling you have when you look at yourself. That’s why I do this and that’s why I created this brand. There needed to be a brand with truth and science behind it.” Sturm, who was wearing a pink Oscar de la Renta dress, continued, “You guys have been such amazing supporters. Every single person in this room, I love you! We can’t build this ourselves. We need people who love what we do and support it.”

After the family style meal, Sturm and friends kept the night going with a dance party to celebrate.
