Zoe Kazan, Carey Mulligan and journalists Jodi Kantor and Megan Twohey cover Marie Claire’s Power Issue (on stands in print Nov 22).
The industry is indebted to journalists Jodi Kantor and Megan Twohey for initiating the #MeToo movement when they exposed the abuse inflicted by Harvey Weinstein on countless women. Now, actresses Zoe Kazan and Carey Mulligan are playing the duo in a new film, She Said. The quartet are appearing together on the new Power issue of Marie Claire—landing in print on newsstands on November 22. In the accompanying cover story, Kazan said: “It felt really good to be addressing this kind of content from a position of making a change, playing someone making a change, and not helpless. I think most women have had some experience of inappropriate contact, sexual harassment, inappropriate language…I was drawing on my feelings about justice and about the world that I want to create for my daughter. And the feeling of power that comes from using your intelligence to make a difference in the world.” You can read the whole story here.
