The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon will bring the zombie apocalypse back to Europe with Norman Reedus taking on a new threat.

AMC

The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon is currently filming in Europe and will take the Walking Dead favorite to France for his spin-off adventure. New images from the production have now given a first look at zombies shambling around the streets of Paris. The photos were shared by star Norman Reedus, who celebrated his birthday on Instagram with his followers, who were happy to receive a sneak peek at the upcoming series.

The Walking Dead came to an end last year, but the Daryl Dixon spin-off is one of several new series set in The Walking Dead Universe. Until recently, there has been little revealed about Norman Reedus’ spin-off show other than its connection to the previous Walking Dead spin-off, The Walking Dead: World Beyond. Recently, more information has come to light suggesting that the new series takes place a few months after Daryl was seen heading off on his motorcycle to find out what is happening in other parts of the country. However, he ends up waking up in Paris with no knowledge of how he arrived there.

While Daryl will not have any of his usual cohorts to accompany him on his journey, he will be joined by a new cast of characters, including Clemence Poesy as French progressive religious group member Isabelle and Adam Nagaitis as British nightclub owner Quinn. What Daryl will find with his new acquaintances is yet to be revealed. Still, with the facility seen in The Walking Dead: The World Beyond expected to play a part in the story, the franchise could finally be about to reach a full conclusion and a cure for the zombie apocalypse.

Will Andrew Lincoln Reprise His Role As Rick Grimes in The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon?

Andrew Lincoln will be back on screen as Rick Grimes in his own upcoming series, along with Danai Gurira as Michonne. Still, many fans believe he may make a surprise appearance in The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon after the actor was seen in France as filming got underway on the show. Lincoln’s presence in France was highlighted by a fan photo shared by the Twitter account Andrew Lincoln News after he stopped to take a selfie in the French capital.

Rick made a surprise appearance in the final moments of The Walking Dead’s finale, which set up his own comeback to the franchise and finally answered the question of where the character is now. This is obviously where The Walking Dead: Rick & Michonne will pick up its story and ultimately deliver on the promise made so long ago that Rick’s story would be told. While fans initially expected this to take the form of three theatrical movies, this evolved over time into the series that will be airing sometime in 2023.

Whether Rick will have already made another appearance by this time in The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon is currently unknown, but one thing for certain is that The Walking Dead may be over, but the universe continues to expand in many ways. With several Walking Dead shows airing this year, it is almost like the series never ended.
