Chris Noth Rejects Report Claiming He Felt ‘Iced Out’ by Sex and the City Co-Stars

Actor Chris Noth is rejecting a report about his alleged feelings on his former co-stars from Sex and the City and its sequel series And Just Like That. In December 2021, And Just Like That premiered on Max (then HBO Max), and the show brought back Noth to reprise his role as Mr. Big. The character was shockingly written out of the series very early into the revival, though the character was intended to be featured in the season finale through a flashback sequence. However, days after the premiere of And Just Like That, Noth was accused of sexual assault by two women.

Though Noth denied the allegations, additional accusers came forward with their own accusations of misconduct. Noth wound up losing a high-dollar deal for his tequila brand, and it had also been revealed that his planned return in the finale of And Just Like That was cut. The actor was also fired from his role on the TV series The Equalizer. He hasn’t appeared in any major movie or television productions since.

A recent Radar article claimed that Noth feels “iced out” by Sarah Jessica Parker and his other former co-stars, suggesting he’s upset about everyone cutting ties with him in the wake of the allegations. The report noted that Noth feels that Parker and the other cast members “owe him an apology” for their “rude behavior,” wondering why he’s not getting invited to their parties or even getting happy birthday texts. The report was later covered by the New York Post, and Noth took to Instagram to share a screenshot of the story while saying that there’s no truth to the news at all.

“I usually don’t respond to this kind of thing,” Noth says. “And I do know that people like drama and gossip… but this article by Samantha Ibrahim is absolute nonsense. Just thought you’d like to know.”

The Sex and the City Stars Have Distanced Themselves from Chris Noth

While it’s not clear if there really hasn’t been any contact between Noth and his former co-stars since 2021, the stars of And Just Like That publicly distanced themselves from Noth at the time. Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis, and Cynthia Nixon each released a joint statement noting how “deeply saddened” they were to hear about Noth’s accusations.

“We are deeply saddened to hear the allegations against Chris Noth,” the statement reads, with all three names signed at the bottom. “We support the women who have come forward and shared their painful experiences. We know it must be a very difficult thing to do and we commend them for it.”

The stars of And Just Like That have moved on, having had the benefit of having Mr. Big written out of the series before the accusations against him had hit the press. The show was renewed after a successful first season, and the Sex and the City sequel series recently premiered its second season on Max.
