This year the term Barbenheimer became the portmanteau of the moment, becoming the new Sharknado. Ironically, it is now about to follow in the footsteps of the infamously low-budget horror movie in becoming a movie in its own right courtesy of Full Moon Features. If you have any doubts over just how bizarre and off-the-scale this is going to get, you can check out the recently released poster as shared by JoBlo, which comes with the telling tagline of : “D-Cup, A-Bomb.”
This summer saw the unlikely dual release of Barbie and Oppenheimer take the world by storm, and the best way for most people describe anything surrounding the films was to use the overarching title of “Barbenheimer.” While most people took the “movement” in the light-hearted spirit it was intended, the whole thing did receive scorn from Asia, with accusations of dumbing down the horrific events that were caused by Oppenheimer’s creation. What will be made of an actual Barbenheimer movie is something that is anyone’s guess. There is limited information available about the movie, a ludicrous plot synopsis was shared about the movie. It reads:
“Deep within Dollsville, a group of fed-up female dolls – led by the brilliant Dr. Barbenheimer – build an atomic bomb. Their mission? To bring down the patriarchy once and for all! But as the battle of the sexes swells, will Barbenheimer and her bevy of beauties end up blowing up more than they bargained for? Comedy, drama, action and Armageddon erupt in Full Moon’s latest freaked out fantasy film, BARBENHEIMER!”

Barbenheimer Could Arrive on Prime Video By Christmas 2023.
While this December is looking a little lighter on big movies thanks to the ongoing Hollywood strikes, Full Moon Features is looking to have Barbenheimer ready to stream within just a few months, with cameras expected to start rolling in September.
It may be a little hard to believe that the movie is even happening, never mind going through full production in the time it takes most companies to complete a TV show episode, but this is Full Moon Features. Founder Charles Band, who is producing Barbenheimer, has previously delivered some memorable B-movies, including the Puppet Master franchise, Castle Freak and Demonic Toys in the company’s near-35-year history. This year the studio has already unleashed several movies including Demonic Toys: Jack Attack and stop-motion movie The Primevals, and they are currently working on a movie featuring “the first AI-created femme fatale in film history” – controversial for so many reasons right now – and the completely horrendous sounding Bad CGI Gator.
Barbenheimer certainly seems to be good company with Full Moon’s previous work, and while it is an audacious move to even consider making such a film, we can expect to see this most unexpected epic gain the notoriety it deserves this December via Prime Video and FullMoonFeatures.com.
