Chance Perdomo, who most recently starred in The Boys spin-off series Gen V, has died following a motorcycle accident. The actor was said to have been the only person involved in the incident, according to authorities. He was 27 years old.
As per Deadline, a message from Perdomo’s family and representatives reads:
“His passion for the arts and insatiable appetite for life was felt by all who knew him, and his warmth will carry on in those who he loved dearest. We ask you to please respect the family’s wish for privacy as they mourn the loss of their beloved son and brother.”
Production on Season 2 of Gen V has reportedly been pushed back following the tragic news. The producers of the series issued their own statement shortly after the announcement, which read:
“We can’t quite wrap our heads around this. For those of us who knew him and worked with him, Chance was always charming and smiling, an enthusiastic force of nature, an incredibly talented performer, and more than anything else, just a very kind, lovely person. Even writing about him in the past tense doesn’t make sense. We are so sorry for Chance’s family, and we are grieving the loss of our friend and colleague. Hug your loved ones tonight.”
Amazon MGM Studios and Sony Pictures Television, who made the series, added their own thoughts, saying:
“The entire Gen V family is devastated by the sudden passing of Chance Perdomo. Amazon MGM Studios and Sony Pictures Television extend our heartfelt thoughts and support to Chance’s family and all who loved him at this difficult time.”

Who Was Chance Perdomo?

Chance Perdomo was born in Los Angeles, California in 1996, but his family relocated to the U.K. when he was a child. Originally planning to study law, Perdomo instead pivoted to acting, moving from his hometown of Southampton to London, where he studied at the Identity School of Acting and joined the National Youth Theatre.
After appearing in several British TV shows, including Midsomer Murders and Hetty Feather, Perdomo came to the attention of Hollywood when he starred as Ambrose Spellman in the Netflix supernatural horror series The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. He subsequently joined the After series of movies at Netflix, starring as Landon Gibson in After We Fell in 2021, After Ever Happy in 2022, and After Everything in 2023.
His latest role was as Andre Anderson in Prime Video’s The Boys spin-off series Gen V. In the series, Andre’s superpower is having magnetic manipulation capabilities. The second season of Gen V was green-lit in October 2023, with filming expected to commence soon, but has now been “indefinitely” delayed as everyone involved comes to terms with the tragic and unexpected loss of the actor who was pivotal in the series, and is going to be a huge loss to both the show and the industry.
