Tennessee Titans receiver DeAndre Hopkins is dealing with a strained knee that could sideline him for four-to-six weeks, according to reporter Paul Kuharsky.
Hopkins left Wednesday’s practice session with the Titans’ vice president of sports medicine, Todd Torischelli, but he wasn’t limping, notes Kuharsky.
The 32-year-old had a wrap on his left knee during practice Wednesday.
Hopkins led Tennessee with 1,057 yards and seven touchdowns on 75 receptions in 2023, his first season with the team. He has one year left on his contract.
Injuries were an issue for Hopkins in 2021 and 2022 as a member of the Arizona Cardinals. He made just 19 appearances over those two seasons.
Hopkins is a key member of an upgraded Titans offense in 2024. Tennessee – which turned to quarterback Will Levis as its full-time starter – signed wide receiver Calvin Ridley and Tyler Boyd in free agency, among other players.
The Titans are scheduled to open their 2024 season against the Chicago Bears on Sep. 8.
