After two seasons, Netflix’s Arcane has officially wrapped up.
Created by Christian Linke and Alex Yee, the animated series follows sisters Vi (Hailee Steinfeld) and Jinx (Ella Purnell) amid a conflict between the utopian city of Piltover and the oppressed underbelly of Zaun.
The series is based on Riot Games’ League Of Legends universe, and comes from French animation studio Fortiche.
After the first season debuted in 2021, the show won an Emmy for Outstanding Animated Program. The second and final season was released in November 2024.
Did Jinx die at the end of Arcane season 2?

To protect her sister Vi, Jinx attacks Warwick (the laboratory experiment built from the remains of their adopted father Vander). As Jinx flies overhead during the punch, Vi grabs her to stop her from falling, with Warwick clinging to Jinx.
To kill Warwick, Jinx forces Vi to let go of her by removing her arm attachment. Warwick and Jinx plummet towards the Hexgate, with the latter pulling the pin on a grenade to ensure the beast is killed, seemingly killing herself in the process.
But is she actually dead? The ending shot of an airship flying away indicates Jinx might have survived. Back in the first season, Jinx referenced how she wanted to fly an airship herself someday, and considering it’s unclear who is actually piloting the ship, her fate is left on a somewhat ambigious note.
In the concluding montage scene, we also see Caitlyn looking at blueprints of the Hexgate which highlights the ‘air ducts and cooling system’ – a detail some have perceived as a potential escape route for Jinx during the fall.
Did Jayce and Victor die in Arcane season 2?

Atop the Hexgate core, Jayce manages to convince Victor to stop his plan of consuming all of humanity into the hivemind. As the pair embrace in the anomaly’s astral plane, they’re both sucked into Jayce’s rune – seemingly sacrificing themselves to save Runeterra.
While it appears as if they’re both dead, there is some ambiguity considering they were both in Ascended form outside of the living world when they embraced – so it’s possible they are still alive in some form, perhaps in another realm.
What happened to Vi, Caitlyn and Ekko?

Vi and Caitlyn both survive, with the latter now sporting an eye patch following her fight against Ambessa, who was killed by her daughter Mel. They both vow to stay together, in what is a somewhat happy ending for the couple.
Ekko also survives after using his new Zero Drive to disrupt Victor’s plans, which essentially made him come to his senses. In the character’s last scene, Ekko is seen sitting alone as he looks out over the city of Piltover.
Is another League Of Legends show in the works?
While Arcane is officially over, co-creator Christian Linke has confirmed another show in the League Of Legends universe is already in development.
