The tragic circumstances surrounding the death of Gene Hackman
, his wife, and their dog have led to many different reactions from Hollywood. Now Emma Heming Willis, the wife of Bruce Willis
, has shared some thoughts about how it is not only those who are suffering from severe medical conditions that need care and attention, but also those who are looking after and caring for them.
Following the investigation into Hackman’s passing, it was revealed that the actor’s wife died from a virus around a week before Hackman himself passed away. During that time, due to his advanced Alzheimer’s Disease, it is believed that without his wife to care for him, the actor simply lived out his final week alone and possibly without even being aware his partner had died.

Through all the all-consuming, headline-grabbing chaos that runs wild in the world, there is a simple fact of life that no one can escape: rich or poor, powerful or submissive, you die when your time is up. There is not always a convenient time to do so, it just happens. The case of Gene Hackman has proven that sometimes a life can be so reliant on others, that when something befalls them, the dominoes fall in an devastating chain reaction.
