Bill Bailey fronts World of Warcraft nature doc parody Planet Azeroth

Bill Bailey has taken on a unique new assignment: presenting a three-part comedic documentary series, World of Warcraft: Planet Azeroth, set in the WoW universe.

The popular comedian has been transformed into a World of Warcraft Dwarven adventurer for the series, which follows him as he ventures into Azeroth’s most iconic regions, from the forests of Elwynn to the frozen wilderness of Winterspring.

Episodes one and two of the series are available to watch now on the World of Warcraft official YouTube channel. The third and final episode will follow on Sunday, November 8.

“I’ve always been fascinated by the natural world, but nothing quite prepares you for Azeroth,” Bailey said. “The creatures are extraordinary, the landscapes are stunning and, unlike many other nature documentaries I’ve been involved in, I managed to stay dry and not get bitten by something. It was enormous fun exploring this strange and wonderful world.”

The series precedes the release of World of Warcraft: Forever this Wednesday (November 4). The new game, which was announced at BlizzCon 2026 in September, is set during the first year of World Of Warcraft‘s chronological timeline but will evolve differently to the ongoing online role-playing title. It features new and expanded zones, new gameplay enhancements, upgraded graphics and other content.

Holly Longdale, executive producer of World of Warcraft, added: “For more than 20 years, players have fallen in love with Azeroth itself – its landscapes, mysteries, creatures, and the stories hidden around every corner.

“World of Warcraft: Forever is our chance to revisit that world through fresh eyes and World of Warcraft: Planet Azeroth captures that spirit perfectly. Bill’s curiosity, humour, and genuine sense of wonder make him the ideal guide to a world that has been home to millions of players, while also providing a warm introduction for those discovering Azeroth for the very first time.”
