Marvel Studios is known for keeping its stars on a tight leash, but Tim Roth may have let a spoilery detail slip about his She-Hulk role.
Marvel Studios
Certain Marvel actors have been well-trained in how to avoid saying the wrong thing in interviews, but having been out of the Marvel game for some time it could be that Tim Roth needs to go back to Secret School after seemingly revealed a spoiler for his upcoming return as The Abomination in the Disney+ She-Hulk series. While speaking to The DisInsider about his return to the Marvel fold, Roth revealed some details about his next appearance that were not yet known and possibly would have been held back a little longer if Disney and Marvel Studios had their way. Spoilers for She-Hulk are coming.
Tim Roth made an unexpected comeback to the MCU when he appeared in Abomination form during Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. While that role only required the star to record a voiceover for the short cameo, his next appearance in She-Hulk is a much bigger role and Roth is more than happy to be back as the character, who will seemingly be transformed back into his human form of Emil Blonsky in the series.

During the interview, Roth was asked if he would also be appearing in human form in the series, and without hesitation he answered, “Oh yeah!” He added that fans should “expect to see a bit of everything in [it]” and praised Tatiana Maslany as a “powerhouse.” Of course, Roth did not go as far as to detail any specific plot points on the new Disney+ series, and other than being told officially that the series will take the form of a “half-hour legal comedy,” we have no idea of what to expect when it arrives next year. However, there are a few solid theories out there.

She-Hulk Could See Bruce Banner Discovering a “Cure” For The Hulk
There are a number of theories about what could happen in She-Hulk. As the series is being described as a comedy, there have been a lot of questions as to how this will fit in with the rest of the Marvel Universe. Considering the upcoming Moon Knight seems to delve into a darker, violent story, She-Hulk should be relatively light and airy in comparison. One of the biggest theories for a sub-plot of the series involves Bruce Banner’s recent appearance in Shang-Chi’s post-credit scene as himself and not Smart Hulk.
The short teaser released for She-Hulk showed Banner in Smart Hulk form working in his laboratory, although in Shang-Chi he was back as his human self. With the series seeing Maslany’s Jennifer Walters rumored to gain her “green giant” powers from Banner, it would be plausible for the scientist to try and work out how to “cure” her of the curse that has plagued him for years.
Tim Roth confirming that the Abomination will appear in human form could mean that Banner produces a serum that reverses the one used by Blonsky to become The Abomination back in 2008’s The Incredible Hulk, which in turn could be used to transform himself back into Bruce Banner and suppress the Hulk. If rumors of a World War Hulk movie being in the works are true, then stifling Hulk in this could well act as a catalyst to that happening somewhere in the future.
