Circus by Sam Edelman Janis Sandal I Editor Review

Hi, hello, and welcome to my latest installment of “stuff I found at Walmart that I’m *obsessed* with”. In all honesty, my list of apparel and accessory faves from the retailer is growing rapidly. I recently purchased a crochet skirt set that feels luxe and the quintessential summer handbag. My latest find? The Circus by Sam Edelman Janis Sandal ($53, originally $85), which I was thrilled to find on sale for nearly $30 off the retail price. I was elated to see they had my go-to size 9.5, so I added them to my cart in a flash — my honest review, ahead.

What I Like About These Sandals

At this point in my life, I’m not one to drop big bucks on footwear, especially since I’m prone to creating major marks and scuffs on them after a single night out. That said, I’m constantly on a mission to find stylish pieces that don’t break the bank (while being kind to my feet, too). l was immediately drawn to this ruffled pair — they’re certainly trendy, but I could see myself wearing them for future summers, too. My favorite thing about them is the color. Just like, er, everyone, I can’t get enough of super-saturated clothing and accessories right now.

Most important of all, they’re really comfortable thanks to their cushioned insole. I have yet to wear them from morning till night, but my feet felt completely fine after a night out — and we all know that’s saying something. Did I mention that nearly everyone in my friend group asked where they were from?

What’s Worth Noting

These sandals don’t have reviews on Walmart’s website just yet, but after doing some internet research, I came up with a few important details that are worth noting. First, some people find the design to be narrow, and in that case, they recommend sizing up a half size.

One thing I didn’t realize before buying these sandals is that they also come in Black ($47, originally $69) and Pink Confetti ($47, originally $69), both of which are sold separately from the orange pair. TBH, I probably would have gone with the same color, but it’s good to consider ahead of your potential purchase.

Who Are These Sandals Best For?

These sandals are best for the fashion enthusiast who wants high-quality footwear that doesn’t cost a small fortune. I think they’re a great purchase if you’re someone like me, who wants some fun-colored footwear, but doesn’t want to dish out over $100 for each pair. Yikes.

As for styling them, I think they’re a great finishing touch for just about any summer outfit, perhaps denim jeans and a crop top, or a dress if you’re feeling a little fancier. They’re also such a cute choice if you’re looking for fabulous footwear for an upcoming vacay.

Additional Details

  • These sandals come in sizes 5.5- 11.
  • They have a sturdy, one-inch block heel.
  • There’s a 3D “C” detail emblazoned on the outside of the heel on both the right and left shoes.
