Sebastian Faena and Gray Sorrenti fête EP

Downtown tastemakers came together over the weekend to raise a glass to Sebastian Faena and Gray Sorrenti’s newly released EP, “Save Your Life.” The duo, both photographers, came together on the music debut—which consists of two tracks titled Save Your Life and Artificial Irresistible—after Faena’s mother passed away last year. On the emotive song, Save Your Life, 18-year-old model Sorrenti sings alongside Faena. “I spent a lot of time in Buenos Aires last year because my mom got sick and placed a piano in front of her bed because she wanted me to play her my songs,” Faena told Vogue on the night of the celebration. “The week after my mother died, I went into the studio with my best friends and completely bared my soul.” On the track, , and, according to the photographer, when she does, he “imagines mother singing.” Meanwhile, Artificial Irresistible, was written about Guiliana, a character in Antonioni’s The Red Desert. Joining the pair at Cirpriani Soho to toast to the launch were Sorrenti’s boyfriend Evan Mock, Mario Sorrenti, Eli Brown, Rebecca Dayan, Carlotta Kohl, Jessie J Thompson, Kailand Morris, and Ferdinando Verderi, among others.
