Angus Cloud Was the Real Star of New York Fashion Week 2022

Angus Cloud caused quite the stir at several New York Fashion Week events this season. The 23-year-old actor, who portrays the lovable drug dealer Fezco in “Euphoria,” first made waves at Coach’s fall 2022 show in a bright-green collared jacket with shearling lining and blue and yellow stripes. He selected the piece with stylist Tiffany Briseno, who describes his style as “Oakland chic,” referencing the California native’s hometown. Briseno and Cloud always collaborate on outfits during fittings, and NYFW was an opportunity for them to “experiment and try all sorts of things to land on final looks,” Briseno tells POPSUGAR.

“Hot Cheetos are the perfect accessory to a front row fashion show. Why not?”

The real headline-making moment at Coach’s show, however, came when the brand’s presentation began. Sandwiched between Rina Sawayama and Megan Thee Stallion in the front row, Cloud whipped out a bag of Flamin’ Hot Cheetos and munched away as models strutted down the runway before him — quite the bold move for someone sporting a white turtleneck. “Hot Cheetos are the perfect accessory to a front row fashion show. Why not?” Briseno says.

Next up on Cloud’s NYFW schedule was a star-studded dinner to celebrate Thom Browne’s fall 2022 collection. Wearing head-to-toe tartan, he linked up with his “Euphoria” costar and onscreen love interest Maude Apatow, and their matching plaid ensembles sent the Fexi hive (that’s Fez and Lexi, for the unacquainted) into a tailspin. Fellow actors Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Katerina Tannenbaum, and Chase Sui Wonders were also in attendance at the gathering; naturally, they all wore coordinating tartan looks.

While this is Cloud’s first time attending multiple NYFW shows and events, the actor is no stranger to the fashion world, having attended Balmain’s menswear show at Paris Fashion Week in 2020. He also modeled in ads for Gap and Fila and recently put his fresh sense of style on display at the “Euphoria” season-two premiere in a bright-orange Versace suit and his signature white turtleneck.

“He has such an affinity for fashion, so we definitely share the same level of passion for clothes and style,” says Briseno. “That shared passion makes it that much more exciting when we get together and nerd out on things like vintage Rocawear tracksuits. There’s so much range in his style journey. It’s gonna be a treat to see how far we can push this.” Briseno says that she won’t be surprised if Cloud becomes a Fashion Week staple from here on out.

It’s clear that Cloud is one to watch in fashion, and it’ll only be a matter of time before he’s cast in a buzzy brand campaign as “Euphoria” continues to surge in popularity. Read ahead to see all the pictures from Cloud’s New York Fashion Week debut.
