Barbara Palvin shone among the stars in a Versace Safety Pin Gown ($5,825) at the “Moonshot” premiere on March 23. Attending alongside her boyfriend, Dylan Sprouse, Palvin walked the blue carpet in a LBD heavily inspired by one of the most iconic outfits in the fashion lexicon: Elizabeth Hurley‘s red carpet appearance at the “Four Weddings and a Funeral” premiere in 1994.
Much like Hurley’s dress, which featured a plunging V-neckline and a revealing side cutout, Palvin’s spaghetti-strap gown was lined with a black Versace ribbon that wrapped around her back, traced the hem of her bust, and dipped down into a faux wrap design. The outfit was artfully patchworked together with six massive safety pins embellished in gold and black gemstones, which beautifully matched the gold finishings and ornate buttons embossed with the Versace logo.
A play on the coat dress, Palvin’s ensemble also featured a dramatic, sky-high slit on her left side that landed on her upper thigh, an eye-catching detail that gave her the perfect photo opportunity. Feeling risqué, Palvin clung to her date, throwing her leg across the front of Sprouse’s body to show off all angles of her figure-hugging dress. Sprouse, dressed in a dapper gray suit, and Palvin sent the camera a fierce look that gave us Gomez and Morticia Addams fresh off the finale of a tango.
Palvin styled her safety-pin ensemble with matching Versace Patent Leather Sling-Back Pumps ($1,125), gold jewelry, a Versace La Medusa Studded Mirco Bag ($1,125) in turquoise suede, and an ombré french manicure. In addition to her boyfriend, Palvin attended the premiere alongside “Moonshot” star Cole Sprouse, who wore pastel blue suit with a wide pant, and his girlfriend, model Ari Fournier, who wore an off-the-shoulder evening gown in white.
