The designer hosted the night’s affairs at St. Regis’ restaurant The Drawing Room, alongside the hotel’s glamorous general manager Octavia Marginean-Tahiroglu. Guests kicked off the evening while mingling with champagne and martinis, as well as admiring each other’s Bittar jewels—including the new capsule, inspired by Gilded Age socialite Caroline Aster’s love of pearls and American Beauty roses. After cocktail hour, everyone sat down for dinner surrounded by candlelight and lush pink and red floral tablescapes.
After a surprise toast by viral Bittar character Margeaux Goldrich (Patricia Black)—accompanied by her assistant Jules (Julie J.), of course!—guests nibbled on fresh vegetables crudités labneh. Nan Kempner inspired the night’s main course of spaghetti and meatballs, chicly paired with truffles, parmesan, and fresh basil. To complete the evening, everyone picked candies and miniature friandises from chic bar carts around the room.
However, Bittar parties aren’t complete without a cheeky twist! Before the night ended, guests received Christmas crackers packed with chewing gum and playful paper crowns, streamers, and clip-on hair extensions. As an extra parting gift, everyone left with a copy of Cecelia Tichi’s What Would Mrs. Astor Do?—though a few attendees took home the St. Regis’ floral arrangements, as well.
Guests included Julia Garner, Awing Chuol, Gabriella Karefa-Johnson, Leah Faye Cooper, Elizabeth Saltzman, Dara Allen, John Melfi, Phillipa Coan, Andrew Egan, Hanna Isaksson, Anna Trevelyan, Charlie Le Mindu, Muni Long, Markus Kelle, and more.
