Kate Middleton visited Colham Manor Children’s Centre in Uxbridge, England, on Wednesday, Nov. 9, in a look that pulled together all of the must-have trends for fickle fall weather — including a $40 Mango dress. The Princess of Wales, who was on location to discuss maternal mental health, topped the long-sleeved knit midi with a dark-green Hobbs trench that she tied at the waist. When she took off her jacket, she revealed the fitted Mango number, cinched with a crocodile-embossed belt from Polo Ralph Lauren.
The mock-neck silhouette called for a simple pair of Kiki McDonough citrine drop earrings, as well as her sapphire engagement ring. She finished the ensemble with pointed-toe green suede Gianvito Rossi pumps and a crocodile textured clutch. Middleton’s long hair was parted to the side, and she wore pink blush and a matching lip.
With this look, the 40-year-old mom of three indulged in her own take on the sweater dress, a trend at the forefront of our mood boards this season. With its throw-on-and-go appeal, it helps achieve a look that feels instantly tailored. And, with the addition of a classic double-breasted coat, it provides the foundation of warmth.
Though Middleton was wearing a red poppy pin on her lapel for remembrance, she knelt to give it to a little boy when greeting a group of children, telling him that it was “to remember all the soldiers who died in the war.”
