Lori Harvey spent time in Paris for Fashion Week, making an eye-catching appearance at the Miu Miu show and also turning the streets into her own runway when she had the time. For one such instance, she borrowed a silk, chocolate button-down from beau Michael B. Jordan‘s closet, and you bet he took note. After posing for pictures with photographer Frederic Monceau, the model posted the shots on Instagram. “HOW YOU GONNA TAKE MY SHIRT & ROCK IT BETTER THAN ME?? THE NERVE ????,” Jordan immediately replied in a repost to his Stories.
But MBJ, listen, the Bottega Veneta boots made her do it! Seriously, how could she find a better-fitting, oversize top to wear with the iconic BV Dot boots, which retail for $1,850 and come with gold hardware? Really, they’re just the combination of a removable stretch leather sock and strappy sandal, but teamed together, they’re the type of statement shoe to go down in history.
Harvey’s stylist Monica Rose helped her coordinate them with Prada cat-eye sunglasses, thin gold hoops, an Hermès Kelly bag, and a wool coat, proving to fans and followers that the monochrome “brownfit” is, indeed, a trend for fall. Now, we may not all be able to jump on the bandwagon in one of Michael’s originals (swoon), but you can check out a few inspired versions we found to get the look ahead.
