Old Navy Linen-Blend Tie-Shoulder Cropped Cami | Review

A significantly large fraction of the wardrobe essentials in my closet are from Old Navy. The Fitted Sleeveless Square-Neck Bodysuit is my go-to when I need a chic and seamless layer, and the brand’s Extra High-Waisted Wide-Leg Ripped Jeans are one of my favorite pairs to date. I could go on, but I’d rather introduce you to the latest of the retailer’s must haves: the Fitted Linen-Blend Tie-Shoulder Cropped Cami ($12, originally $30). I came across it in Old Navy’s new-arrivals section more than a month ago and have been keeping an eye on it to see if shoppers deem it worth the buy — spoiler alert: they do. When I added it to my virtual shopping cart, it had just over 50 five-star ratings and very few critical reviews, and it’s only grown in popularity in the time since. Ahead, I share why I’m among its fans and why you should scoop it up, too.

What I Love About the Old Navy Fitted Linen-Blend Tie-Shoulder Cropped Cami

This cropped cami is incredibly versatile, making it a go-to choice for effortless outfits. The adjustable tie-shoulder straps and smocked back ensure the perfect fit without feeling constricting. Another great thing about it is the material is thick and not see-through at all. Shoppers agree: “It’s thick enough that you don’t have to wear a bra with it,” one reviewer wrote. Another said it’s made of “thick material that is both comfortable and breathable but doesn’t show through.” Finally, the details are on point. From the sweetheart neckline to the meticulously seamed front bodice reminiscent of a boned corset, it exudes sophistication without sacrificing comfort.

What’s Worth Noting About the Old Navy Fitted Linen-Blend Tie-Shoulder Cropped Cami

As mentioned, this cami has predominantly five-star ratings from shoppers who love its quality material, customizable fit, and color choices. (It comes in white, pink, neon green, and floral.) While most reviewers had a positive experience, it’s important to acknowledge that a small fraction of customers raised concerns about the sizing. For instance, one satisfied customer gave it four stars, mentioning that it feels “a bit wide if you have a small chest.” On the other hand, a customer who awarded it two stars felt the sizing was completely off. This particular shopper ordered a size small only to find it “huge,” and even discovered the XS was also too large. However, in my personal experience, I opted for my usual size (medium), and it fit perfectly.

Another detail worth noting is that, as promised by the product name, this cami is cropped, which means it hits just below the waistline. A few shoppers who left lower ratings expressed frustration with the cropped fit. If you prefer your shirts to have a longer length, this is certainly something to take into consideration before making your purchase.

Who Is the Old Navy Fitted Linen-Blend Tie-Shoulder Cropped Cami For?

This tie-shoulder cami is a must have for those who appreciate refined basics. Whether you team it with a chic skirt, your favorite jeans, or casual denim shorts, this tank lays the perfect foundation for all your summer looks.
