When we talk to people who are pregnant, the number one piece of clothing they miss most is their denim. When you wear jeans that fit well, you feel amazing, but so many of our favorite styles are unwearable after a big meal, let alone a pregnancy. That’s why we’re particularly excited about Hatch’s new denim collection. The brand that’s a staple for all kinds of elegant pregnant women like Meghan Markle and Emma Stone has completely reimagined maternity denim, and it’s worth buying ASAP.

We talked to Hatch founder Ariane Goldman, who described what makes Hatch denim unique. “Our signature is ‘The Wedge,’ our exclusive grow-with-you detail on the sides of each pair. It is engineered to expand to fit your bump throughout your pregnancy and is now in our crowd-favorite Before, During, and After Legging jersey material so that it feels soft against the skin. The best part? You don’t have to give up tucking (or half tucking!) your shirts,” she says. Plus, these jeans were made to be worn throughout your pregnancy journey, including the fourth trimester. So many maternity styles feel like leggings, but not the Hatch styles.

Goldman says, “The jeans are made from a soft cotton blend with all custom fixtures, like buttons and rivets, so that she can wear them three to four times a week and feel like a trusty go-to pair of jeans.” If you’re expecting, or you know someone who is, these jeans make the perfect present.
