For a story with screaming headlines in the controversial circles there is Boosie, who’s back into focus again. This time it is not about his music. The controversial artist tweeted words of condemnation against transgendered people, in particular attacking them for going to the YMCA. Because there are things he has mentioned that are spreading around the Internet, in one tweet he states: “THESE TRANNYS HAVE NO RESPECT FOR KIDS THEY SICKENING‼️ YMCA R YALL LIKE PLANET FITNESS 2 WTF BAND THE TRANNIES.”

This was paired with an article that set off the firestorm. Some people supported Boosie, whereas others berated him for hypocrisy and an inconsistent position. The responses went wild, as was expected, and sides were quickly taken, almost faster than one could really say, “cancel culture.”
User Darby DeLorenzo was one such user-giving it all support and conviction: “Yasssss! They’re disgusting. I don’t think we should be ever teaching our children how the wants sex. Idgaf. My job is to raise them to contribute to the world and ymca needs to quit the bullshit.” Let’s just say, dear Darby says it how it is. Joey FingerA simply wrote: “Ban all transformers 💯,” suggesting that subtlety is obviously not in fashion.
Yet defenders began to pile on Boosie: “Dude has a problem with trans people but supports R.kelly make it make sense😂😂.” Ouch. That’s like a burn hotter than a Louisiana summer. “And I’m picturing Boosie just ranting about the whole thing like from Fox News,” one such witness, SarkNotSteven, wrote.
Here, that is when the serious conversation began: tyrantkiller commented, “Stuff happened in my YMCA and they said there is nothing they can do because they can’t put cameras in the locker room.” So fair enough about safety and privacy concerns-although nothing really touches the issue Boosie raised.
On the other hand, JaQuilla X suggested a potential compromise when she said: “Transexuals should be allowed to use the Family Restroom Only.” Certainly, that addresses some issues, but is it fair? BlueYodeler would simply say that, in the common context of freezing dissent, Boosie was “up in Waters World.” Jesse Waters of Fox Broadband is meant in that term.
This tweet is yet another proof for numerous articles written by this rapper, who is not shy of expressing what he thinks, whether his opinions are divisive or not. Good or bad, one thing for sure is that Boosie knows how to instigate conversation. Social media nowadays is half the battle and Boosie has already conquered it.

The ether keeps stirring over-transgender issues and public restrooms, and Boosie has worsened the fire. To some this indignation seems to be really about traditionalists trying to hold their ground as modernism encroaches: If it’s not modernism, we don’t owe it a space. Somewhere in there is a comment for the ensuing round. And obviously, this round too, Boosie had found a way to keep on instigating some more.
