David Lynch and Emily Stofle are calling it quits.
Stofle, 46, filed for divorce from the Mulholland Drive director, 77, after 14 years of marriage, according to court documents obtained by PEOPLE.
In the filing, the actress asked for sole legal and physical custody of their 11-year-old daughter, Lula Boginia. Stofle is asking for Lynch to have visitation rights. She is also asking for spousal support and attorney’s fees.
TMZ was the first to report the news.
Representatives for Lynch did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment. Contact information for Stofle was not available.

The former couple married on Feb. 26, 2009. The pair collaborated when Stofle appeared in Lynch’s feature film, Inland Empire, and limited series, Twin Peaks: The Return.
Lynch confessed in a 2018 interview with The Guardian that he tended to prioritize his work over his personal life.
“You gotta be selfish. And it’s a terrible thing. I never really wanted to get married, never really wanted to have children. One thing leads to another and there it is.” He added, “I did what I had to do. There could have been more work done. There are always so many interruptions.”
Stofle shared with his memoir’s co-author, Kristine McKenna, that Lynch shared his priorities with her ahead of their daughter’s birth. “After I had Lula, he disappeared into his work, which is what he does… he works and that’s where he gets his joy,” she told McKenna, per The Guardian.
