The Peacock streaming series, based on Seth MacFarlane’s acclaimed duology “Ted ” and ” Ted 2 “, is taking shape. It has been revealed that MacFarlane will once again voice Ted, a foul-mouthed, foul-mouthed, weed-smoking teddy bear. McFarlane is also the creator, executive producer, director, and one of the showrunners of the series, which is on order for production in June 2021.
In addition, MacFarlane’s The Orville co-stars Georgia Whigham, Max Burkholder, and Scott Grimes have been cast on the series, with Paul Corrigan and Brad Walsh ( My American Family ) joining as co-showrunners, writers, and executive producers.

Set in 1993, Ted Bear’s moment of glory has passed, and he lives with his best friend, 16-year-old John Bennett, in Boston with his parents and cousin. Ted may not be the best influence on John, but when a friend needs help, Ted is willing to take risks to help him and his family.
Burkholder will play John Bennett. John is a nice guy and a likable teenager who, however, has an awkward growing up. With Ted’s help, he has a much easier time coping with adolescence.
Whigham plays Blair Bennett, a smart and politically correct college student who lives with her Uncle Matty, Aunt Susan, and younger cousin John. She is not afraid to be outspoken and often clashes with her more traditionalist family.
Grimes will play Matty Bennett, a loud-voiced Boston worker who sees himself as the head of the family and doesn’t like being challenged by anyone, especially his liberal-minded niece Blair.
