Mary J. Blige has been on a hot streak of stunning performances this month, and her musical medley at this year’s NAACP Image Awards was no exception. The 10-time Image Award winner graced the stage on Saturday to deliver a soulful performance of “Good Morning Gorgeous,” from her new album of the same name, and “Love No Limit” off her 1992 debut album. Blige also won outstanding supporting actress in a drama series for her role in “Power Book II: Ghost.” The series is currently filming its third season.
Right now, the Queen of Hip-Hop Soul has plenty to celebrate. The icon is fresh off her Super Bowl halftime show performance with Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Kendrick Lamar, Eminem, and 50 Cent. She was also recently featured in Peloton’s new artist series. And for NBA All-Star Weekend, DJ Khaled brought the singer out to perform on stage alongside Lil Wayne, Migos, Gunna, Lil Baby, and Ludacris.
