Novocaine, the new action-thriller starring The Boys‘ Jack Quaid has arrived in cinemas, and we’re here to take you through its killer soundtrack.

Directed by Dan Berk and Robert Olsen, the film follows an unlikely hero in Nate (Quaid), a man who is incapable of feeling physical pain. His rare condition turns out to be an unexpected advantage, however, when the girl of his dreams is kidnapped and he must use his powers of numbness in the fight to rescue her.
Other cast members include Amber Midhunter, Ray Nicholson, Jason Batalon, and Matt Walsh.
The film has generally been well received by critics and fans alike (currently sitting at 82 per cent on Rotten Tomatoes), with the high-adrenaline yet ironic soundtrack being a particular highlight.

Earlier this month, while promoting Novocaine, Quaid took part in a Reddit Ask Me Anything, where he was asked to share his “absolute dream role”.
“I would actually love to be in a live action adaptation of Bioshock,” he replied. “It’s one of my favourite games of all time.”
BioShock is a first-person shooter that was released back in 2007. Set in a technologically-advanced underwater city, players take control of newcomer Jack as he fights his way through the madness and violence of the isolated world. Two sequels followed – 2010’s BioShock 2 and 2013’s BioShock Infinite – and a fourth game is currently in development.
“I think there’s such a rich lore to that game that could be explored in a TV or movie adaptation,” continued Quaid. “I’ve also seen people say that I look like Max Payne and when I’ve looked at the box art, I even did a double-take. I love Rockstar’s games, but unfortunately I’ve never played that one – it’s next on the list, for sure.”
