How Bout them Cowboys All the Way to The Superbowl?

If you have been wondering about the last time the Dallas Cowboys have been to the Superbowl, then you are not alone. The Dallas Cowboys have not had a Superbowl appearance or win since the year 1996. Despite this fact, their fans always expect them to be there every single year. In fact, many Dallas Cowboy fans are so convinced that their favorite team will win in matches and even get to the Superbowl that they are confidently placing online betting in Texas regardless of the odds on them making it to the Big Show.

Even though the Dallas Cowboys have not made a Superbowl appearance in the past 25 years, they have made it there 8 times in the past. Moreover, they managed to attain victory five out of those eight times. That is quite an impressive record. However, that was between the 1970s to 1990s.

Their SuperBowl winning streak began in 1972 when they went against the Miami Dolphins. They had star players such as Duane Thomas and Chuck Howley who contributed to their 24-3 win against Miami. This stellar performance was followed by their 1978 Superbowl XII win, which was the most-watched Dallas Cowboy appearance. There were over 100 million viewers and the Dallas Cowboys defeated the Denver Broncos at 27-10.

In 1993, the Dallas Cowboys went head to head against the Buffalo Bills in the Superbowl XXVII. This was their biggest win in all the Superbowl appearances. Star players like Jay Novacek and James Washington enabled their win of 52 to 17. Again in 1994, the Cowboys emerged winners over the Buffalo Bills.  It seems the Buffalo Bills did not stand a chance from the beginning. With Dallas Cowboys’ star performers such as Leon Lett, Thurman Thomas, and Emmitt Smith, the team went on to win two championships in consecutive seasons. They got a 30-13 win over the Buffalo Bills.

Unfortunately, their winning streaks and appearance at the Superbowl ended in 1996 where they emerged victorious over the Pittsburgh Steelers. Through team effort and contribution from players such as Troy Aikman and Chris Boniol, the Dallas Cowboys won the game 27 to 17.

They have also had three losses, starting with their first-ever Superbowl appearance in 1971. They lost to the Baltimore Colts 16-13. They also lost 21-17 to the Pittsburgh Steelers in 1976. In 1979, they also lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers with 35-31. However, 11 players in the Dallas Cowboys made it to the Hall of Fame.

Even though the Dallas Cowboys have not made an appearance at the Superbowl for over two decades, their fans believe that it is only a matter of time before they get there and win their deserved prize. The Dallas Cowboys have a great team this 2021-2022 season, great defense, and are definitely looking like Superbowl contenders.
