Kim Kardashian’s Blue Balmain Outfit at the Parsons Benefit

Kim Kardashian is revisiting her famous latex looks. In honor of the annual Parsons Benefit in New York City on May 24, the Skims mogul stepped out in a blue two-piece set by Balmain. Her sleeveless mock-neck top tightly contoured her bodice with careful molding along her chest, while her matching skirt featured a low-rise waist and thigh-high leg slit. To complete the look, Kardashian drew even more attention to her abs with a delicate silver waist chain, catching the light directly beneath her crop top.

Kardashian established her love for latex back in 2014 with a pink Atsuko Kudo dress, and has frequently revisited the trend ever since. Previously, she made headlines for trying to squeeze into yet another skin-tight Balmain ensemble in March 2020, desperately trying not to rip the outfit before her event. More recently, she also wore the formfitting material in black backless style for an April 2022 appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” chatting in a mid-length turtleneck design.

Despite the notoriously constricting material, if anyone is equipped to handle an inhibiting outfit, it’s Kardashian. At the 2019 Met Gala, her crystal-adorned Thierry Mugler corset dress was so tight, she didn’t go to the bathroom the entire night. She faced a similar struggle during Milan Fashion Week in 2022, hobbling up the stairs in a restricting chainmail dress. Thanks to its dramatic side slit, Kardashian’s latest Balmain look has a little more leg room, making it more conducive to actual movement.

Read on to see how she’s keeping her latex streak going strong all these years later.
