Lisa, Anitta, And Rema Drop ‘Goals’ Ahead of FIFA World Cup Opening Ceremony

Lisa, Anitta, and Rema are confirmed performers at the FIFA World Cup USA Opening Ceremony in Los Angeles, and they marked the announcement with a brand-new collaborative music video dropping the same day.

FIFA’s official World Cup account shared the news on Instagram on May 22, naming all three artists for the Opening Ceremony stage alongside a release of “Goals,” the new track they recorded together. The account called it “an unforgettable performance” in the announcement.

The post pulled in close to 950,000 likes by the end of the day. A number like that says this lineup landed well beyond soccer audiences.

“Goals” is streaming through FIFA’s official channels now. The music video and the ceremony confirmation arrived at the same time.

Audiences didn’t have to wait. The track brings three very different sounds into one space, and that combination is worth hearing before the live show. It gives a real sense of what the Opening Ceremony in Los Angeles might actually feel like.

Lisa is the Thai member of BLACKPINK and one of the group’s most globally recognized faces. She’s been building her solo career steadily over the past couple of years, and her profile keeps growing.

Her performances are tightly crafted and hold up at any scale. A World Cup Opening Ceremony is exactly the kind of stage her career has been building toward.

Anitta has been Brazil’s most consistent crossover pop and funk act for years. She’s worked with artists across genres and continents, built a strong international fanbase, and earned her place on some of the world’s biggest stages.

Her energy translates everywhere. On a platform this big, she’s going to light it up.

Rema has been one of the biggest names out of the Nigerian Afrobeats scene for a while. His 2022 hit “Calm Down” crossed from West Africa to just about every corner of the world.

His sound is effortlessly smooth. It travels naturally across musical cultures. That quality matters a lot on a stage shared with two artists from completely different backgrounds.

Together, this trio spans Thailand, Brazil, and Nigeria. That range says something real about the state of global music right now. A decade ago, a bill like this at a major Western sporting event would have been rare.

These three artists built their careers on different continents and in different genres. Putting them together for one performance at the world’s biggest sporting event just hits different.

The 2026 FIFA World Cup runs across the United States, Canada, and Mexico. The Opening Ceremony in Los Angeles kicks the whole tournament off. With this lineup confirmed, it’s already one of the most globally diverse opening acts the World Cup has produced.

“Goals” is out now. The music video is a good preview of what that Los Angeles stage is going to feel like. The Opening Ceremony can’t come soon enough.
