German Loki Voice Actor Hints Character Could Be Returning in New Secret Movie

Ever since Tom Hiddleston’s Loki found the Tesseract at his feet in Avengers: Endgame, the retcon of his death in Avengers: Infinity War was set in motion. In the Disney+ series Loki, the God of Mischief was seen back to his best, dealing with variants of himself and ultimately setting in motion some pretty big ripples in the multiverse. While it has been confirmed that Hiddleston will be returning for a second season of Loki, Peter Lontzek, who provides the German voiceover for Loki’s Marvel appearances, has revealed that he is working on a new Marvel movie, which suggests that Loki could be a long way from being done in the MCU and could be reunited with his brother Thor somewhere down the Marvel timeline.

MOVIEWEB VIDEO OF THE DAY

Tom Hiddleston’s Loki has always been a favorite amongst fans, despite being a villain for his first appearances. His sarcastic, British charm was enough to make even the biggest Avengers supporter root for him just a little, so with Loki essentially giving the character a new lease of life, literally, it is no surprise that his Disney+ series became one of the biggest MCU shows on its release last year. Knowing that he could be returning for more than just his second series will certainly come as good news for fans.

Murphy’s Multiverse reported the update by Lontzek, and while he could not go into specific details about what movie project it might be, what he did say was enough to give a good idea that something is certainly coming that has yet to be officially announced. He said, “There is a new Marvel film that I am currently working on that I am not allowed to talk about.”

Marvel Studios Has a Lot of New Movies Coming

via Marvel Japan

Marvel Studios has been forced to make some changes to its movie release schedule thanks to delays brought about by the Covid pandemic, but when all is said and done, there is a pretty full schedule of TV shows and movies taking us up to the end of July 2023. Beyond that, there are several release dates penned in the Disney release schedule throughout 2024 and 2025 which are expected to see the arrival of characters such as Blade, Deadpool and the X-Men, as well as a potential solo movie for Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlett Witch, another Spider-Man movie and other yet to be announced projects. Whether Loki will feature in one of these or some other cross-over movie, there is a lot of scope for where Hiddleston’s character could turn up next.

Of course, there is always Thor: Love and Thunder to consider first. While it is not expected that Loki will turn up in the upcoming film, which has a stacked roster of characters including members of the Guardians of the Galaxy team, Thor, Valkyrie, Jane Foster, Zeus, Gorr the God Butcher, and more, you can never say never with Marvel’s movies, and with no trailer or any real information about the exact plot to go on it is hard to rule anything out.
