Actor Millie Bobby Brown has become a well-known figure in the entertainment industry since her initial rise to stardom thanks to Netflix’s Stranger Things. In addition to starring in the popular Netflix series as the supernaturally gifted Eleven, Brown also played the lead character in Netflix’s movie franchise series Enola Holmes. The second movie in the Enola Holmes series was released back in October. In the sequel, fans of Enola finally got to see Brown’s character kiss Lord Tewkesbury after their romance was teased throughout the first movie.
Recently Buzzfeed.News reported that Brown revealed that she was the one who took charge while the actors were rehearsing the scene. In a video that was shared on Netflix’s TikTok page, Brown excitedly declared, “Right on the rehearsal I grabbed his face and kissed him and he was like…” she said before making an exaggerated surprised face to mimic her co-star. Brown continued saying, “It was so cute really seeing her take the lead. And also seeing a girl just make the first move is just really exciting.”

After her initial statement, Brown disclosed that her co-star, Louis Partridge, had asked her to stop punching him after she made the choice to make physical contact with him during the pair’s fight scene. Brown said, “Because Louis is a good friend I just kept punching him, I wasn’t doing stunts, I really was hurting him. By the end of it he said: ‘Millie can you just fake punch me,’ I was fully just getting him right in the stomach.”
Brown finished by saying, “It’s a very cute scene and I think fans are going to love it.”

Intimacy Coordinator Jessica Steinrock Says Millie Bobby Brown Didn’t Get Consent for the Way She Treated Her Costar.

However, intimacy coordinator Jessica Steinrock didn’t have the same warm feelings from hearing how Brown had treated Partridge on set. On her TikTok page, Steinrock called out Brown for not getting consent from her co-star and for punching him. In the video’s caption, she wrote, “Consent is mandatory. We don’t need to surprise kiss, we don’t need to actually hit…” In Steinrock’s video, she tells her followers, “Ooh no, I love Millie Bobby Brown but this is not the cute story you think it is. I’m sure she and her scene partner have a lot of rapport built up and a great amount of trust, but we should never be surprising anyone during a fight or intimate scene ever.”
Steinrock continued, “At the end of the day, this basically means she didn’t ask consent to kiss him. And when your scene partner reacts in surprise after you’ve kissed them that means the communication didn’t happen the way it really needs to. Little things like this can escalate over time, and frankly she has more power in that situation than he does because she’s a really well known star,” Steinrock said. “When we do spicy scenes we love keeping light, having fun, but consent is mandatory.”
She added, “For the record, I loved Enola Holmes 2 but next time we have to ask consent.”
