Dropkick Murphys have released their fiery new single ‘Sirens’, and announced a 2025 UK tour. Find more details below.
The iconic punk band have released the single as the first hint of a new album, set to be released next year.
Defined by an intense guitar riff and frontman Ken Casey’s signature frenetic vocals, the track is a commentary on the growing social divide in America, which Casey says is benefiting billionaires in the country. “For nearly a decade, the division has grown deeper, darker and uglier — dividing families and ending friendships,” he has said in a press release. “Nobody enjoys this more than the billionaires, who are making record profits off the working class.
“They love it when we fight amongst ourselves, because their biggest fear is us joining together to come after them…THE REAL ENEMY.”
Alongside the single, the band have shared a video which pays homage to Bob Dylan‘s ‘Subterranean Homesick Blues’. Check it out below.
The band have also announced their return to the UK in February 2025, with five headline shows. They’ll kick off the tour on February 4 in Birmingham, before heading to Glasgow, Manchester and Cardiff. Then, they’ll wrap things up with a gig at London’s Alexandra Palace on February 8.
