A still of Connor as Nick in a Captain America costume at what appears to be a party has been released ahead of the show’s third season arriving on Netflix on Thursday (October 3). It was captioned “happy spooky szn”, suggesting a Halloween party will be part of the new season.
Co-star Joe Locke, who plays Nick’s boyfriend Charlie, jokingly commented “Coming for my gig” in reference to his role in the Marvel series Agatha All Along.
Fans of the show seemed to approve too. “kit if ur seeing this im free on sunday….,” one X/Twitter user joked.
Another added: “He looks so so hot, he should be on marvel ASAP” while a third person said: oh i need some saving then”.

Fans on Instagram were just as delighted. “WE ARE GETTING A HALLOWEEN EPISODE 😭🍂 this spooky season is getting better and better,” one user wrote.
“Kit out here auditioning for his next role as a superhero 🦸🏻♂️,” remarked another.
NME recently spoke to Connor and Locke about the new episodes of Heartstopper, which are notably more mature than the previous two seasons.
“We’ve both grown up a bit since season one. We don’t look quite so teenage anymore, so I think it’s just a very natural progression.,” said Connor, adding that the way sex is discussed in the show is “still subtle” and “true to Heartstopper“, but also feels “important because feeling comfortable, feeling ready, that’s a big thing for young people”.
The season also goes into more detail about Charlie’s eating disorder, which was confirmed in season two. In episode 4, Charlie is checked into a clinic after his condition dramatically worsens.
“Alice wrote the script so delicately that it did a lot of the heavy-lifting,” Locke says. “But then as an actor, I made sure to have a lot of conversations with Alice, the director and other people [involved] about how to tell the story respectfully: not shying away from it, but also not triggering anyone”.
