Historic Films "MUSIC NEWS" Archive (1981-1987)

Filmed by Chuck Azar and his crew independently during the earliest years of MTV, the “Music News” archive contains approximately 400 hours of one of a kind interviews and concert / performance footage of that era’s top bands and performers. Azar and his team were sent around the world to cover various festivals and music events which they then edited and made available for early MTV “MUSIC NEWS” segments

Some of the artists included in the library are FRANK ZAPPA, DEVO, STEVIE NICKS, FLOCK OF SEAGULLS, AEROSMITH, FOREIGNER, GRATEFUL DEAD, RAMONES, CULTURE CLUB, ADAM ANT, STRAY CATS, PLASMATICS, QUIET RIOT, BLUE OYSTER CULT and many many more.

All footage has been digitized, logged and is now available for licensing.
