Oasis seem to be hinting at US dates in new billboard poster

Oasis seem to be hinting that US dates could be on the way in a new electronic billboard poster that’s appeared today in America.

In a new post on social media, a clip of the billboard poster was shared on display in the US. A caption alongside the recent new image of Liam and Noel read: “If we need to put up a billboard to get these guys to come to the States, here it is.”

The poster also displayed ‘Amazon Music’. Last week (August 30), the band unveiled a series of shirts to commemorate their reunion in collaboration with Amazon Music, where fans can exclusively buy the new shirts.

While no US dates have been confirmed yet, there are plans for further Oasis Live ’25 concerts outside of Europe.

It comes after a tumultuous weekend for Oasis fans who struggled to get tickets for the band’s UK and Ireland dates for their highly-anticipated reunion shows next summer. The tickets for all shows sold out on Saturday (August 31).

Many had issues that included reports of the Ticketmaster site “crashing” after receiving “503” errors before sales even began, fans stuck in giant, several-hour-long-queues and others being kicked out of the queue for being mistaken for bots.

Some who did eventually manage to get through were then disappointed to see the cost of remaining tickets had increased due to Ticketmaster’s dynamic pricing policy – with some reporting that ticket prices has doubled from £148 to £355 due to demand leaving many fans dismayed and unable to afford the prices.

Following the furore, the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) received 450 complaints about Ticketmaster adverts for the Oasis gigs with fans complaining the adverts made “misleading claims about availability and pricing”. The ASA are now investigating.

It also resulted in Culture Secretary Lisa Nandy calling for a review earlier today into “dynamic pricing” and secondary ticket sites.

The Culture Secretary said that it was “depressing to see vastly inflated prices” and added that surge pricing would be included in a government review of the secondary gig sales market.

Nandy said (via Sky News): “After the incredible news of Oasis’s return, it’s depressing to see vastly inflated prices excluding ordinary fans from having a chance of enjoying their favourite band live.

“This government is committed to putting fans back at the heart of music. So we will include issues around the transparency and use of dynamic pricing, including the technology around queuing systems which incentivise it, in our forthcoming consultation on consumer protections for ticket resales.

“Working with artists, industry, and fans we can create a fairer system that ends the scourge of touts, rip-off resales, and ensures tickets at fair prices.”

Earlier today, Twickets, Oasis’ official selling-partner for secondary tickets, also made a U-turn following criticism about the amount of fees they applied onto those re-selling Oasis tickets for next summer’s gigs.

There is currently talk about which previous Oasis members could be joining Liam and Noel on stage in 2025, with co-founder Paul ‘Bonehead’ Arthurs reportedly on board, and rumours that Gem Archer and Alan White could also return.

Earlier reports claimed that “no other original Oasis member is expected to join the reunion”, and that “the members of Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds will step in”.

Meanwhile, fans have been revisiting the group’s final setlist from 2009 to get an idea of what they might play next year. Check out NME’s dream setlist for the forthcoming huge gigs here.

There are whispers of a potential new Oasis album too.
