‘My Life with the Walter Boys’ Season 2 Will Bring Even More Chaos

‘My Life with the Walter Boys’ Season 2 Will Bring Even More Chaos

Two countryside brothers, one city girl, and a ton of drama coming in for the second round. Yes, even though the main character, Jackie (Nikki Rodriguez), escaped a highly uncomfortable situation and went back to Manhattan, leaving Alex (Ashby Gentry) and Cole (Noah LaLonde) heartbroken and confused, My Life with the Walter Boys is still returning to Netflix with Season 2. When Jackie first came to live with the Walters, some of them weren’t too happy, but it was about to get worse. Season 2 will likely kick it off with some actual bad blood between Jackie and some of the Walter boys, because her unexpected departure struck like a bomb and caused some pain.

This time around, My Life with the Walter Boys will lean even further into its Yellowstone-inspired countryside setting, as the second season of the beloved Netflix series dives deeper into its rural charms. The beautiful, vast landscapes and small-town country vibes may be able to balance out the weight of the inevitable drama. Rest assured, there will be a lot of it. Season 2 of My Life with the Walter Boys will likely bring back even more chaos than initially expected. So, let’s open the Jackie, Alex, and Cole drama can.

Jackie and Alex Aren’t on Good Terms

Netflix

Oh, Alex. Poor Alex. Season 1 of the highly anticipated Netflix series was, let’s say, rough on the nerdy Walter boy. Sure, he got the girl, as some would say, but his relationship with Jackie was marked by insecurities brooding in the constant connection between Jackie and Cole. Alex has always felt inferior to Cole. Whether it was in school or his bond with Jackie, he felt the need to have a win in whichever way possible. Unfortunately, though, the final episode of My Life with the Walter Boys certainly crushed all his dreams, because Jackie’s abrupt departure from Silver Falls after sharing a kiss with Cole meant the end of their relationship.

The breakup could have gone two different ways. Either Alex fell into “the depths of despair,” as the titular character in Anne with an E would put it, or he used his heartbreak as a means to grow. The teaser trailer for My Life with the Walter Boys Season 2 reveals that he undoubtedly went for the latter. Hold your horses, because Alex had a major glow-up over the summer, and Season 2 is going to fully dive into it. Muscles are popping, hair is styled, and outfits are on point. New school year, new Alex.

‘My Life with the Walter Boys’ Season 2 Picks Up Right Where We Left Off

Everyone’s favorite 2023 teen drama is finally coming back to our screens. Here’s everything we know about ‘My Life with the Walter Boys’ Season 2.

Upon Katherine’s request and assurance that she is a part of the Walters family, Jackie decides to return to Colorado. Alex’s change in appearance and manner will likely throw her into a world of confusion and uncertainty. After all, she does have feelings for him. On top of that, the second season of My Life with the Walter Boys shows a new girl at Alex’s side. It’s still unclear whether she’s his new girlfriend, but there’s no doubt that he’s mad at Jackie and is trying to move on.

Drama is inevitable because, knowing Jackie, she is going to fix the situation. What if feelings come back up, though? Alex might be too upset to even have a normal conversation with her, and the fact that Cole is also eyeing Jackie once again doesn’t make the situation any better. If this isn’t the best foundation for chaos to unfold, then what is?

Jackie and Cole Might Explore a Romantic Relationship

Netflix

Jackie and Cole are in a similarly awkward position, because she just left right after the two shared a very intense kiss, even though she was in a relationship with Alex, who had just confessed his love to her. Jackie and Cole have feelings for each other, and considering the numerous moments of hesitant affection between them, their connection has been undeniable from the beginning. Sure, when Jackie first arrived, Cole was annoyed with her, as he was caught in a downward spiral and constantly fighting with the rest of the Walter family, but things started to change.

The Walter boy began to turn his life around thanks to Jackie. He seemingly gained some more hope again after repeatedly using alcohol to wash down his sorrows, stemming from the time he was forced to give up his football career goals after a serious leg injury. By staying off the field, he also lost his connection to the rest of the team and his position as the school’s hotshot. He grappled with the uncertainty regarding his future, as he started to realize that he didn’t have anything outside of football. Jackie helped him see that he was much more than a player, and he had a bright future ahead of him, even if it was not on the field.

How To Watch Every ‘Yellowstone’ Series in Chronological Order and By Release Date

Taylor Sheridan’s ‘Yellowstone’ universe is ever-expanding with new spinoffs popping up all the time. Here’s how and where to watch it all in order.

Cole’s behavior could turn difficult again in Season 2 of My Life with the Walter Boys, though, because he now has the confirmation that Jackie reciprocated his feelings in some way, but at the same time, he immensely betrayed his younger brother. Alex and Cole’s relationship is already strained, so this incident might have been the last straw. With Jackie’s return, Cole might potentially want to explore a romantic relationship with her, but at the same time, the way she left after they had a moment certainly caused some confusion.

A relationship between Jackie and Cole could turn the atmosphere at the Walters’ house completely upside down, since Alex’s feelings were significantly hurt. It might even be something that breaks the family apart in Season 3 of My Life with the Walter Boys. It could even be that Katherine and George might forbid them to have a relationship, as they are highly focused on having solid and respectful bonds within their family. Yet, it is almost impossible to ignore feelings, and Jackie has a lot of those.

At this point, it’s difficult to say whether Jackie would choose Alex or Cole. It’s even harder to decide which of the two would forgive her. But there’s absolutely no doubt the three of them will be caught in the middle of some massive love triangle drama once again. My Life with the Walter Boys is available to stream on Netflix.
