Nikki Glaser, the comedian, has been announced as the host of the upcoming episode of Saturday Night Live and the new promotion suggests that she is not going to be nice at all but rather going to have a fierce skillful roasting of the cast that they wished for so badly, not on air. The clip has gone viral on different platforms with people already being so thrilled about her first hosting weekend.

The Saturday Night Live official Instagram account posted a video in which the host Nikki Glaser was along with the cast members Ashley, James, and Kam. The text that went with the video was just, ‘they asked for it,’ which was a pretty clear signal of the events that were about to take place. The actors in the video were basically begging Glaser to roast them and they were even telling that they would not mind at all. After Glaser’s a bit hesitate, she gets and close to the camera and starts saying the truth and nothing but the truth in the form of painful remarks.

She tells Ashley that she resembles ‘fing dog’s period,’ calls James ‘nerdy little f’ from Tennessee and, when it comes to Kam, she just says ‘Nice sweater’ totally emotionless. Glaser justifying her power of not bursting into laughter by saying, ‘I started on Kill Tony so I’m completely numb inside’ has immensely marked the astonished yet entertained expressions of the cast indicating that they in fact, very absurdly, had been eagerly waiting for the future show that was going to be full of humor which was in fact, really tense.

The promo was quickly and positively received by the netizens. One person was totally excited and wrote, ‘Yessssss!! I know her monologue is going to be so good!!’ This excitement was backed up by comments like, ‘I haven’t been more excited to watch SNL in quite a while! Congrats Nikki!’ The queue is very telling of Glaser’s reputation as a razor-sharp talent who is no-holds-barred.

Several comments picked out the most laughable parts of the roast which were hilarious because of the way they were delivered. Among them was the very funny comparison of Glaser’s ‘Nice sweater’ jibe to a mean girl in classic films. ‘“Nice sweater” is giving Regina George,’ one user cited the character in ‘Mean Girls.’ This particular and very specific insult did hit though, for someone even added, ‘Kam’s sweater is really nice though,’ which only pointed to the compliment’s hard-to-swallow quality.

Glaser’s alluding to her being on the hard-core comedy slot ‘Kill Tony’ was also a noteworthy mention. A very impressed viewer remarked, ‘“I started on Kill Tony so I’m completely numb inside” PLEASE,’ and thereby pointed to the hardest place where she trained into a comedian who can handle such a moment. Someone else even referred to her fiery performance during a top event recently, saying, ‘At least once a month I tell somebody to go watch the Tom Brady roast because she fing kills it.’ This comment reiterates the widely believed view that Glaser is among the very best in the roasting business.

Not only did the promo clip generate all the buzz around Glaser but also around the whole SNL episode. Posts were loaded with comments like ‘saturday is gonna be amazing’ and ‘We are SO EXCITED for this.’ One even humorous person asked for more, ‘Where do I go for the explicit version?’ The general consensus seems to be that Nikki Glaser’s hosting stint is one that cannot be missed and it will be a combination of cutting-edge humor and spontaneous energy that the show always gets rejuvenated with.

Nikki Glaser’s hosting of SNL has the potential to be a memorable event and the promo that portrayed her unique, no-holds-barred comedy also nipped it in the bud. The public anticipation is a reflection of her talent as well as the audience’s thirst for real, vicious humor on the iconic stage. This weekend’s episode is likely to be the case. Nikki Glaser‘s recent tour stops have been well-received, and her performance is reminiscent of the hilarious work by Nate Bargatze.
