Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton suffered a torn right Achilles tendon during Indiana’s Game 7 defeat against the Oklahoma City Thunder, the team announced.
His surgery is scheduled for Monday.
The injury occurred in the first half Sunday when Haliburton slipped while attempting to drive past Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. He immediately began pounding the floor in pain and was carried to the locker room by his teammates.
Haliburton was playing through a calf strain that intensified after Game 5. He ultimately suited up in Game 6 and didn’t have a minutes restriction.
The 25-year-old was off to a hot start in the series finale before exiting the contest. He scored nine points on five shot attempts and finished the contest with a game-high three 3-pointers.
Haliburton became the third notable player to sustain a torn Achilles in the 2025 NBA playoffs after Milwaukee Bucks guard Damian Lillard in Game 4 of the opening round and Boston Celtics star Jayson Tatum in Game 4 of the East semifinals against the New York Knicks.
