With this post, Rachel Fuda granted the world another serious case of Disney envy. The former reality star proceeded to share a beautiful memory from the family trip to Magic Kingdom during which her daughters got to do one of the park’s scintillating (read: expensive) experiences: custom-made crystal wands. Does one even need to say more? The magic, indeed, was real.

The story itself entailed Rachel speaking about how her daughters’ trip was to the Crystal Arts store on Main Street U.S.A., where they chose their own colors for the wands, each color meaning something different, then got to see their wands filled with sparkling crystals. The icing on the cake? Holding the wands for the first time in making their wishes. Rachel interrupted the enchanting scene by asking them their wishes—though she refused to share what they said—and then there was no need for words after all, as the utter joy on their faces said it all.
Of course, the jinx can’t be given away for free. She dished out that the wands were, in fact, about $75 per piece, which may have caused some parents to cringe. But, seriously, when you watch your kids light up like that, it really is hard to put a price on it. Rachel went on to share that they do have other offerings, like gem-studded crowns, to complete the princess (or wizard) class experience.
Cue shock and waves of FOMO in the comments section. One commenter claimed to be a Disney Passholder but was never aware such a thing existed; others wished it existed back when their kids were small. And seriously, who wouldn’t? Watching little kids believing in magic is sort of like stepping back in time: all of a sudden, you are back in childhood, clutching the same plastic wand, swearing you actually saw Tinker Bell.
Some comments never came to terms with how awesome that moment truly was, dubbing it a “core memory” (too true) and complimenting Rachel’s storytelling abilities (again, too true). Others were a bit practical, wondering if the wands were plastic (probably, but who cares when they sparkle like that?). Someone jokingly suggested that Rachel should take up audiobook narration on the side—not a bad idea at all.
That is a really good takeaway and just something Disneyland does best. OK, so the lines aren’t short, the snacks are overpriced, and your feet will despise you come noon—but, when that kid shines, every moment and every cent was worth it.

Rachel ended their post with a promise to come back another day, which means more adorable Disney content for us! Till then, we might just have to Google ways of convincing our own family that a $75 wand is a must-buy. After all, a little magic never did any harm.
