While Ray J and Trey Songz just dropped their new joint track “Lit Again,” the excitement in cyberspace seems to be picking up already. Niadorsey and Feather feature on the track, while its accompanying frantic video was literally making moves to the abolition-of-control energy of a night that refused to end. Judging from the megashots, it looks like Ray J and company will show the world how to party; how to wake up in the morning will be another matter.

The video kicks off with a rough look from Ray J, who explains that he’s still caught up from the night before. “I’m a li-t from last night,” he slurred as the shenanigans rolled on, leaving the viewer to wonder how anyone functions at all the next day. The clip keeps on raining down peculiar shots showing the crew gearing up for their next level parties—shower debates and questionable decisions included. One fan hilariously commented about feeling the “shower and nap” line “like a ton of bricks because please know me!”
Trey proceeded to give out his silky vocal while balancing Ray J’s unhinged energy, the two clearly sharing great chemistry. One commenter called them “the perfect duo,” while another one humorously chirped about his antics: “This nigha crazy😩 I’m with Trey, heavy on the shower and a lil nap.” Niadorsey, who’s also featured on this track, joined in the boasting: “We ‘Lit Again’ @niadorseymusic hope u all enjoy our work.”
Then, much appreciation was given for the length of that thing, with a total running time of 4 minutes and 44 seconds! In keeping with the news, a sharp-eyed fan noted: “The vibes are there, the sexiness is there AND the video is 4 minutes and 44 seconds. IYKYK”. For those who don’t know, certain circles regard the number 444 as a sign of positivity and manifestation, enough for the viewers to talk about it for hours.
Of course, there were others with lukewarm opinions. One couldn’t resist: “The shit be a hit if Ray J was singin on it to instead of being a damn video groupie.” Ouch. The rest of the reviewers showered praise on the visuals’ energy and humor.
Then, that now-infamous line: “That’s on the dead homies!” The comment section went wild with many quoting it; one laughed, “Ray J is funny ASF he said on the dead homies,” while another added, “Where the babas 🤣🤣🤣,” referring to Ray J’s frantic search for another bottle in the midst of the party.
The track is a bass-heavy club anthem meant for those kinds of nights in which dawn breaks before you can even care to call it quits. Ray J and Trey Songz were obviously not trying to go for profound lyricism here, but rather just putting an unpretentious party closer out there. Judging by the reaction thus far, they surely hit the mark.

As to what will come next, an eager fan is already requesting, “Love this now put @chrisbrownofficial on the remix.” Whether that happens or not, one thing is for sure: Ray J and Trey Songz have given us a tune that will be blasting out of speakers somewhere late at night for a little while. For an alternative way to listen to this, maybe following the artists’ advice would prove trending—shower now, round two soon.
