See Season 3 Trailer Finds Jason Momoa Preparing for a Final Battle

Aquaman star Jason Momoa prepares for his final battle in the trailer for Season 3 of the AppleTV+ post-apocalyptic series, See. Released courtesy of Apple TV, the footage reveals that, after centuries of humanity living in darkness, sight has started to return — and that is sure to have a major impact on the world and the life of Momoa’s fearless warrior, Baba Voss.

Beginning in the early twenty-first century, See introduces audiences to a world that has been ravaged by a virus that wiped out all but two million humans. Those surviving have lost the sense of sight, with the series picking up centuries later, where society has found new ways to interact, build, hunt, and survive without vision. Led by Jason Momoa as Baba Voss, the leader of the Alkenny Tribe, See first premiered on AppleTV+ back in 2019.

The second season sees (forgive the unintentional pun) Momoa at war with his brother, Edo Voss, played by Guardians of the Galaxy star and fellow Hollywood behemoth Dave Bautista. Season 3 of See will pick up with Baba having defeated his nemesis brother Edo and retreating into the forest. When an explosive new threat emerges that no one is safe from, will the greatest warrior of his time have what it takes to protect those that mean the most to him?

See Season 3 Likely to Feature Much Less Jason Momoa

Apple TV

Showrunner and executive producer Jonathan Tropper has revealed that See Season 3 will be the show’s last. “We are thrilled to share this epic final chapter of See, which delivers all the intense drama, riveting action, and heartfelt emotion fans have come to expect, as well as what we think is a deeply satisfying conclusion to our story,” he said in a statement. “Building a world without sight was a particularly unique and continuous challenge that was met through the passionate and thoughtful collaboration of a phenomenally talented and diverse team both in front of and behind the camera. The show has been a monumental labor of love for all involved, and we are eternally grateful for the way See has been embraced by viewers around the world.”

With See due to end, it is sure to come as a disappointment to many to learn that season 3 is likely to feature a lot less Jason Momoa than previous outings. The actor has had quite a busy schedule for some time, and wrapped his scenes on See early in production.

Starring alongside Momoa in the third season of See are returning ensemble cast members Sylvia Hoeks, Hera Hilmar, Christian Camargo, Archie Madekwe, Nesta Cooper, Tom Mison, Olivia Cheng, Eden Epstein, Michael Raymond-James, and David Hewlett. Executive produced by Steven Knight, Francis Lawrence, Peter Chernin, Jenno Topping, Jim Rowe, Jennifer Yale, Anders Engström and Jonathan Tropper, who also serves as showrunner, See is produced by Chernin Entertainment and Endeavor Content.

See Season 3 will debut on Apple TV+ on August 26, 2022. The series will run for eight episodes, ending on October 14, 2022.
