Attorney Tony Buzbee To Host Deshaun Watson’s Sexual Assault Accusers at Watson’s Return Game

Guess who’s back, back again.

Deshaun Watson’s first game back is going to be a tough one for him for many reasons.

After two years off the field, the new Cleveland Browns QB will finally play a regular season game against the team that drafted him, the team he demanded a trade from, and the team that sent him packing as soon as criminal charges wouldn’t be filed against him with so many sexual misconduct cases against him. When he hits the NRG field, he better keep his eyes on the field because some of the women who accused him of things will be there.

“Watson has never had to play a game in front of his accusers — until now. Attorney Tony Buzbee told he’ll have a suite at the Browns- Texans game in Houston Sunday and he says ten of the women he represented against Watson have told him they plan to come.”

More from the report:

“Buzbee will be there, “bells and whistles on,” he said, and he’s invited all 25 women he’s represented in cases against Watson.

“I will be there to welcome Deshaun back to Houston,” Buzbee said.

He knows his clients each have their own feelings about going to the game. Several have responded that they aren’t interested in attending. But Buzbee said the women who plan to be there in the suite — around 10 have told him they will come — will send a clear message to Watson:

“You think you put us behind you, but we are still here.”

This will be the first game for Watson as a member of the Browns, he is making his debut after an 11-game suspension for violating the league’s personal conduct policy by committing sexual assault on massage therapists. He was also fined $5 million and has had to undergo a mandatory treatment program.

He had been accused by more than two dozen women of sexual assault and other inappropriate sexual misconduct during massage sessions. Over the summer, he agreed to settle 23 of the 24 lawsuits against him.

He would have a 25th lawsuit against him, but it would be dropped by the plaintiff when the judge ruled that her petition had to be amended with her name. Two grand juries in Texas declined to pursue criminal charges against Watson earlier this year.
