Chargers’ Bosa blasts officials: ‘I’m sick of those f-g people’

Los Angeles Chargers pass-rusher Joey Bosa sounded off on officials after he picked up two unsportsmanlike conduct penalties in his team’s 31-30 wild-card loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Bosa picked up his first unsportsmanlike penalty after appearing to bring up a missed call to an official. He was also flagged for slamming his helmet into the ground following a fourth-quarter touchdown by the Jaguars.

The four-time Pro Bowler took responsibility for his actions but argued that there “needs to be more accountability” for officials.

“I think there just needs to be more accountability,” Bosa said Sunday, according to ESPN’s Lindsey Thiry. “I mean, if I say something to them I get a $40,000 fine but if they blow a call that ruins an entire team’s season, they’ll probably be back in the locker room after the game like, ‘Haha, got that asshole, oh yeah, got him 15 yards, what a loser.’

“I guarantee it, that’s what they’re f—–g talking like in the back,” Bosa continued. “I’m sick of those f—–g people.”

“Doesn’t mean I need to scream at them or say anything but how is it fair for me, who is out there playing my butt off and there’s a missed call and I say something, and he’s going to run up into my face,” Bosa explained. “What grown man in a position that he’s in, ‘Oh, what did you say to me? What did you say to me?’ Like he’s antagonizing me to (say) ‘Oh, he said it, there we go, got him.’”

The Chargers blew a 27-0 lead in their wild-card collapse to the Jaguars. Jacksonville’s victory marked the third largest comeback in postseason history.

Bosa finished the playoff game with one tackle, one quarterback hit, and no sacks.
