Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua missed the second half of Sunday’s season-opening loss to the Detroit Lions due to a knee injury.
Nacua appeared to get hurt in the second quarter after hauling in a pass from quarterback Matthew Stafford for a 6-yard gain. He briefly returned before halftime but was eventually carted to the locker room for further evaluation.
The 23-year-old recorded five receptions for 35 yards and one rush for seven yards before leaving the Rams’ season opener.
It’s unclear if Nacua re-aggravated the knee injury that caused him to miss time during training camp.
In his sensational rookie campaign, Nacua recorded 105 receptions for 1,486 yards and six touchdowns last season, earning the wideout his first Pro Bowl nod.
The Rams also lost starting offensive lineman Steve Avila for the rest of Sunday’s contest after he also suffered a knee injury.
