Texas is set to keep interim head coach Rodney Terry as the full-time coach of the program, sources told College Hoops Today’s Jon Rothstein.
Terry led the Longhorns to a 22-8 record this season after taking over in the middle of the campaign for Chris Beard, and oversaw the program’s first appearance in the Elite Eight since 2008.
Texas also won the Big 12 Tournament earlier in March with Terry at the helm, defeating Kansas for its second title in three years.
The 55-year-old was hired as an assistant coach on the Longhorns’ staff in 2021.
Terry was previously the head coach at Fresno State, spending seven seasons at the helm and leading the Bulldogs to an NCAA tourney appearance in 2016. He was also the head coach at UTEP for three seasons.
Texas was eliminated from March Madness on Sunday after losing to Miami in the Elite Eight.
