The best players in the history of the Miami Dolphins

Sure, American football is the most popular sport in every single state in America. But, some states have more NFL teams than others. For example, the Sunshine State of Florida has three teams. That is pretty impressive, wouldn’t you agree?

One of those teams is, of course, the legendary Miami Dolphins team. If you are a Dolphin lover and you love to explore individual player bets or maybe other specific bets during the season, the latest Florida sports betting updates will definitely help you on your betting adventure.

One of the most exciting topics these days is the odds of the Miami Dolphins winning the holy grail of football this season.

But, let us get back to the history books.

Larry Little

Oh boy, how a name can trick people. Larry Little was many things, but a little man, hell no.

This splendid player had a successful career as he played as an offensive guard for the San Diego Chargers from 1967 to 1968 and then for the Miami Dolphins from 1969 to 1980.

Little was known for his borderline dreamy and unreal skills and was a key player in the Dolphins’ dominant offensive line during the 1970s. He was a six-time Pro Bowl selection and was named to the All-Pro team five times.

This big dude was also a crucial part of the Dolphins’ back-to-back Super Bowl victories in 1972 and 1973. In recognition of his outstanding career, Larry Little was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1993. After retiring from football, he has been involved in various business ventures and has remained active in the football community.

A true legend of the sport, it has to be said.

Bob Griese

This legendary quarterback left an admirable mark for the Miami Dolphins in the League from 1967 to 1980. Griese was known for his exceptional leadership skills, ability to read defenses and for leading his team to three Super Bowls with two wins. Many consider him to be one of the last true generals on the field. His stare was sometimes enough to scare the opponents.

In 1990 Griese was included in the Pro Football Hall of Fame and was a six-time Pro Bowl selection. He finished his career on a high and made a career jump from the field to behind the camera pursuing sports broadcasting. He worked as a commentator for various networks, including ESPN and ABC.

There are many ambassadors of this splendid sport, but most pundits agree that Bob is one of the best in the biz.

Zach Thomas

This wonderful epitome of a sports god played as a linebacker for 13 seasons. What a feat, huh?

Thomas was known for his exceptional tackling ability and football intelligence. He was drafted by the Miami Dolphins in the fifth round of the 1996 NFL Draft. Thomas quickly made an impact and became a key player for the Dolphins’ defense. He was selected to the Pro Bowl seven times and was named First-Team All-Pro five times during his career.

Thomas was known for his durability and consistency, as he recorded over 100 tackles in a season 11 times. He was also a leader on and off the field, serving as the Dolphins’ team captain for several seasons.

In 2007, Thomas signed with the Dallas Cowboys and played two seasons with the team before retiring in 2010. Throughout his career, he was recognized for his outstanding play and was regarded as one of the best linebackers of his era.

After retiring from football, Thomas has been involved in various ventures, including coaching and philanthropy. He has also been eligible for induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame and has been a finalist multiple times.

Hats off to you, good sir.

Jason Taylor

Here is another ridiculously gifted athlete who is maybe known to younger generations who adore this sport.

Jason Taylor had a successful career as a professional football player in the National Football League (NFL). He played as a defensive end and outside linebacker for the Miami Dolphins, Washington Redskins, and New York Jets during his 15-year career from 1997 to 2011.

A career worth admiring in one of the toughest sports in the world.

This huge dude was one of the best pass rushers and his ability to disrupt opposing offenses amazed people in stadiums.

He was a six-time Pro Bowl selection and was named the NFL Defensive Player of the Year in 2006. Taylor holds the record for the most fumble return touchdowns in NFL history with six. Throughout his career, Taylor was recognized for his leadership on and off the field. He was known for his work ethic, dedication, and professionalism.

Like his biblical miracles on the green field were not enough, this guy was also involved in various charitable endeavors and was named the NFL Walter Payton Man of the Year in 2007 for his community service. What a saint. After retiring from football, Taylor has pursued various ventures including working as a television analyst, participating in reality TV shows, and being involved in philanthropic activities.

He shaped this sport in the most splendid of ways.
