More bad fan behavior.
FirstEnergy Stadium field has seen better days.
Police are investigating an incident that left the field at FirstEnergy Stadium damaged Tuesday after investigators said a suspect climbed the fence at the Cleveland Browns’ stadium and drove a golf cart on the field, according to News 5 Cleveland.
A video has since been obtained showing the grounds crew working on the field Tuesday afternoon, and used a road roller in an attempt to smooth the ripped-up ground.

The Browns said maintenance crews are working to repair the field, which should be ready for Sunday’s game against the Tampa Buccaneers.
“We are aware of the incident that occurred early Tuesday morning at FirstEnergy Stadium and have provided the Cleveland Division of Police with all relevant information. Based on our internal evaluation, there was some superficial damage to the playing field that our grounds maintenance team is currently working to repair. We take great pride in the strong reviews and reputation of our stadium’s playing surface, have been in touch with the NFL on the matter and are confident after repair our field will be ready for Sunday’s game vs. the Tampa Buccaneers.”
Cleveland will host Tom Brady and the Bucs on Sunday at 1 p.m.
Sunday’s 31-23 loss to the Bills was the sixth in their last seven games and dropped Cleveland to a stunning, and disappointing, 3-7 on the season. They are four games plus a tiebreaker behind the Ravens and now have six AFC losses.
Not even the return of Deshaun Watson next month could save this season.
